Paramount Ranch is steeped in film history, and that history includes some Disney connections. Several scenes for The Love Bug and a sequence for Herbie Rides Again were shot at the ranch. More recently, scenes from an episode of the Disney Channel series, Lizzie McGuire were filmed in the western town set.

For the past 25 plus years, learning and documenting the fascinating history of Paramount Ranch has been a passion of Chapter member Don Bitz.  Don will share with us some of that history, and how he became involved with it.  We'll tour the only western town film set that is open to the public free of charge seven days a week.  We'll see clips from the Disney productions and where the scenes were shot, as well as a little of Don's rare behind-the-scenes video of filming for the popular 1990's CBS television series Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman.  It's going to be a fun afternoon, and you don't want to miss it!

1. From the Ventura Freeway (101)
2. take the Kanan Road exit and turn south
3. continue to Cornell Way and turn left (east)
4. Cornell Way becomes Cornell Road
5. continue on Cornell Road PAST:
   • Silver Creek Road,
   • Medea Mesa Road, and
   • Wagon Road
6. Paramount Ranch Road will be on your right
7. turn right and follow the signs to the parking lot.
